Raise your hand if your daughter has an American Girl doll on your list for Christmas this year!
With the new Nashville store opening this year, I feel like I have American Girl conversations weekly with someone. What’s crazy is, I haven’t actually been to the store yet. BUT, when I went to Las Vegas earlier this year, I was invited to their pop up store. I was able to speak with the manager and others about the brand and their mission. It was so fun to hear about the amount of thought that goes into each doll and accessory.
American Girl offers many lines of dolls to suit your child’s interests. The Be Forever dolls relate to certain periods of history. They have books that go with each doll to teach your child about that time period. The books also show the dolls overcoming something in their life (a friend moving away, escaping slavery). I love that AG isn’t just a doll company, but they really aim to empower children and also turn a toy into an interactive learning tool.
The Truly Me line of dolls allows your child to personalize a doll to look just like her.You can pick hair, skin, eye color, and even what type of hair they have. There are also the Bitty Babies for your younger children that may not be ready for a big doll yet. The babies don’t have hair, so there is less upkeep.
Once you have your doll, there so many different accessories that your child can pick to go with it. I love that they have a wide range of accessories so your child can express their own personality and interests. There’s sports, spa packages, wheelchairs, pets, science kits, and so much more.
So, did you have someone on your list that was wanting an American Girl doll? Well, we have some good news.
