Girls to the Moon (& A Giveaway)

As we wrap up March and Women’s History Month this week, I wanted to share a new-to-me organization in Nashville that I am “over-the-moon” excited about called Girls to the Moon! Girls to the Moon is a Nashville-based social enterprise company that brings together inspirational leaders, creative events, and impactful content to guide girls to become their best selves, impact their communities, and create a more inclusive culture.

As the mother of 3 girls – one in the throes of middle school – I love everything about this organization and I can’t wait to work with Girls to the Moon co-founders Knight Stivender, Courtenay Rogers and Courtney Seiter to get me and my girls involved in local Nashville girls empowerment.

Recently, Girls to the Moon launched a membership option for anyone who wants to support their mission of empowering young girls to change the world. Members will build a network of like-minded allies in developing fierce and powerful girls, while sponsoring Girls to the Moon’s confidence-building, risk-taking, future-changing programming.

Girls to the Moon has a couple local Nashville events coming up:

  • On Friday, April 7th, Girls to the Moon will explore the idea of “good trouble” with a panel of incredible women who’ve pushed the envelope and succeeded by shaking things up – in business, art, culture, and life at Casa Azafran in Nashville. This is meant for parents and caregivers, but girls are welcome too. Check here for tickets.
  • On September 16th, Girls to the Moon will host their 3rd annual “Campference” where girls age 10-14 and their caregivers are invited to spend the day together, learning about everything from puberty and consent to confidence and creativity. Attendees can also explore our interactive gallery, where we’ll have everything from robotics projects to a nail art bar. Scholarships are available for this event. Click here to register.

Girls to the Moon is an amazing resource for girls, caregivers and women in Nashville and a great way to expand women’s history, empowerment and women’s future year round!

Giveaway: Girls to the Moon has generously offered a Star Membership for one lucky reader. Simply comment below with a woman or girl that inspires you. Comments will not be accepted after midnight Thursday, March 30 and I will randomly choose a name on Friday, March 31. Good luck! Comments are closed. Congratulations Julie!

  1. My friends inspire me. They are juggling things like hectic jobs, houses full of young kids, aging parents, career challenges, personal life goals, financial struggles, and more … and they still find a way to use their voices to speak out for equality and peace.
