If you are anything like me, you love getting out with your family and participating in all seasonal activities that Nashville has to offer! We have compiled a list below of things that should be on your “Fall Bucket List”! Nashville (and surrounding areas) have some great family friendly adventures to offer and some are coming up really soon! So grab a pen and some paper and prepare to make your Fall bucket list!
Nashville Fall Bucket List
First up is a favorite of many: Cheekwood Harvest.
Cheekwood is wonderful in the Fall. They currently have a large pumpkin patch. All pumpkins in the patch are for purchase and they have some of the coolest looking pumpkins in town. There’s also a pumpkin patch and scarecrows in one of the gardens. Many of the scarecrows were designed by children from local schools. On the weekends in September and October, they have special activities for children. Check out the website for more details.
Next up on our Fall Bucket List is of course, Gentry’s Farm.
Located in Franklin, this family-owned farm offers pumpkin picking to the public. The patch opens October 1st and runs through October 31st. The patch is open to the public on Saturdays and Sundays only. Besides the huge pumpkin patch, there are a ton of other activities for the whole family including a hayride, a corn maze and much more! Admission is $7 per person. It’s worth it!
You can’t have a Nashville Fall Bucket List that doesn’t include Boo at the Zoo!
Boo at the Zoo continues to be a favorite year after year. Starting Friday October 14th and running through Sunday, October 30th, the zoo will provide trick-or-treating, carousel rides, hayrides and much more! Boo at the Zoo is on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays ONLY. It’s from 5-9 pm and you must purchase a ticket to enter. There are discounted tickets for members and it is also open to the public. Children are, of course, encouraged to wear their costumes.
On October 27th and 29th (running through November as well), the Nashville Children’s Theater will be putting on the play Junie B Jones Is Not a Crook!
Junie B Jones is a funny little kindergartner who always finds herself in different adventures. Check out the Nashville Children’s Theater website to see of this counds like something your child would enjoy attending. It sounds like it will be a fun and captivating play!
