Moms, it’s time to give the ol’ flip-flops a day off. Sure, they’re easy. Sure, they show off your super cute pedicure. But we don’t have to wear them every.single.day. We’ve got some cute summer shoe picks for when your flip-flops need a break.
Tieks– Ballet flats in summer seems silly, but when you’re out walking for a long time, you may want a little more support. Tieks are definitely your answer! They’re also extremely packable so you can throw them in your suitcase, carry-on, or tote bag easily and switch out of your heels in a breeze. Make sure to check out their bright summer colors.
Converse– We love a classic white that will match EVERYTHING. Any white sneaker is a great addition to have in your summer closet. Seriously, you could wear them with anything from your gym clothes to a dress and still look cute. For a fun pop of color, what about that mint color?
Madewell Sightseer Sandal– Yes, sandals and flip-flops are different. We love that these have an ankle strap so they stay secure on your foot when you have to chase a toddler around the playground. This is another shoe that you can dress up or down and be very comfortable at the same time.
Birkenstock Gizeh Sandal– Birkenstocks have made a crazy comeback in the last couple years. I have to admit that I really, really didn’t want to like them, but I finally gave in. We love this variation for a different look than the classic two-strap.
Espadrille– There are so many great espadrille options out there. These from Tory Burch come in a bunch of cute color block patterns. Again, a shoe that can be dressed up or down and is comfortable. You’ll definitely have a little more support in these since the sole is thicker as well.
Classic Sneakers– We really believe everyone needs some old-school kicks in their closet. You get the comfort of a sneaker, but you don’t look like you just came from the gym. These Nikes are our current sneaker crush.
Nisolo Huarache Sandal– Nashville-local business, Nisolo, has won us over. Their shoes are seriously comfortable and seriously cute. We love these for a closed shoe option that is still very breathable so your feet won’t get hot in the summer heat. But, we wouldn’t fault you for picking any of their great shoes.
We would love to hear your thoughts! Do you like our picks? What are your go-to summer shoes? Share with us! (especially if it’s pictures of cute shoes!)
I received some of these products for review as part of the Savvy Sassy Moms Product Scouts program. All opinions are my own.
