The Nashville Ballet opened the season with one of the most beloved ballets of all time, The Sleeping Beauty. The Sleeping Beauty featured some of the most challenging, classical choreography and the score was performed live by the Nashville Symphony. The night was full of beauty and art. The costume and set were magically designed and were new to Nashville, originating from Salt Lake City, Utah. 29 tutus featured in the performance were handmade and required around 80 hours to create! The Sleeping Beauty also included other fairytale characters Little Red Riding Hood, Beauty and the Beast, and Puss in Boots.
