Nashville Celebrates Dolly Day

On Friday, September 25, Nashville celebrates Dolly Day, honoring Dolly Parton’s legacy of kindness, generosity, and music. Wear pink, spread kindness, and enjoy “9 to 5” at 5pm, Dolly-inspired specials, pink lights, and Dolly posters across the city. Free buttons, stickers, and bookmarks will be available while supplies last at Visitor Information Centers at Bridgestone Arena and Fifth + Broadway, with fireworks downtown at 9:25pm.

GIVE LIKE DOLLY

This September, Middle Tennesseans, Nashville visitors and Dolly fans everywhere are invited to come together and Give Like Dolly.

Beginning Friday, September 25, join us for a three-day celebration of the generosity and kindness Dolly Parton has shared throughout her life. Whether you call Middle Tennessee home, are visiting Music City for the weekend or simply love Dolly and what she stands for, there is a place for you in this celebration.

Give Like Dolly – Middle Tennessee will make it easy to support local nonprofits working in areas close to Dolly’s heart, from helping children succeed and neighbors in need to supporting healing, creativity and a lifelong love of reading. The nonprofits benefiting through each giving pillar, along with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Middle Tennessee, will be revealed soon.

And because September 25 is 9/25, there may be no better day to turn a little 9 to 5 into a whole lot of good.

Franklin | Bicentennial Park
Dolly-inspired fun starts at 7 PM, followed by a FREE screening of Steel Magnolias at dusk.

Brentwood | Crockett Park
Wear pink for Steel Magnolias Under the Stars at 8 PM, plus themed food trucks. FREE! 

Honeysuckle Hill Farm | 3–6 PM
Explore a Dolly corn maze, sip pink lemonade and catch a special butterfly release.

Country Music Hall of Fame
Dolly archival footage at 6 PM followed by a FREE 9 to 5 screening at 7 PM, plus photo ops and Dolly activities. 

Musicians Hall of Fame | 11 AM–3 PM
Live acoustic music, Dolly-inspired activities and local vendors, with a portion of admission benefiting Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

Nashville Zoo
Special Dolly Day admission, themed food + drinks, animal enrichment, face painting and plenty of pink! 

Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage
Step onto the historic balcony where Dolly filmed her TV show in 1977 and explore special Dolly filming locations.

Nashville | “9 to 5” at 5 PM
At exactly 5 PM, participating Nashville venues will perform Dolly’s iconic “9 to 5.”
