I have been a huge fan of both Belmont University and The Grand Ole Opry for many years! So when the opportunity to celebrate Belmont’s Music Business Program’s 50th Anniversary at The Opry came up, I was thrilled to attend!
My friend, Lele joined me for her first Opry show!
Belmont’s Music Business Program is very impressive! I enjoyed learning about the program and hearing talented students perform.
A huge announcement as made that the Mike Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business plans to expand on Music Row! This is going to be a huge addition to the University as well as benefit the community with a venue space, coffee shop and networking possibilities!
Belmont’s Bluegrass Group started the show with an amazing performance!
The entire show was of Belmont alumnae, including Nicole Gaylon, Hillary Lindsay and Ashley Gorley who are some of Nashville’s top songwriters. They performed songs they’d written for Morgan Wallen, Chris Stapleton and Carrie Underwood.
Trisha Yearwood dazzled the audience with her charm and solid voice! I mean how can you not sing along to “She’s In Love With The Boy”?
Then….Brad Paisley surprised the crowd by showing up! He sang two songs and gaining laughs from his quick wit!
Hailey Whittiers, Ashley Cook, Ian Munsick and Tyler Hubbard also performed! It was quite the night!
