There are so many apps out there and we know you don’t have time to sort through and find the BEST apps for your kids. We really don’t have time either, but we did anyway.
So, here are our picks for best apps for kids age 0-4.
Peekaboo Barn
$1.99, lite version available for free
Teaches kids animal sounds and names. This was one of our first app purchases ever. It’s really easy for kids to figure out, so it’s great for them to do independently.
Tallytots
$2.99
Teaches numbers and counting. Kids can just work on counting or they can play games with the numbers like putting the 4 batteries in the radio or making a 7 layer sandwich.
I Hear Ewe
FREE
Plays sounds of different things like animals and cars. This is pretty bare bones and simple, but it’s free. My 1 year old loves to hear the sounds and she can do it by herself.
Toca Boca (any of them)
$2.99, also bundles
It’s hard to pick just one Toca Boca app to feature. All of their apps are awesome. We have the Toca Band which is great for mixing different musical sounds. Check out their website to see which ones your kids will love.
Talking Ben the Dog
FREE
I don’t even know what to say about this. For some reason it’s wildly entertaining to both of my kids. They can interact with Ben the Dog in different ways- feed, call, pet- and he burps and talks to them. He also listens if you talk to him and repeats you, which my 1 year old thinks is hilarious.
Fisher Price- Laugh & Learn
FREE
Fisher Price has a lot of great apps for young kids and they are all free. You really can’t go wrong. Most, if not all, of them are educational in some way.
Endless Alphabet
$6.99
This app is definitely on the pricier side of things, but it really is great. Kids can pick a letter and word to put together in a puzzle. It teaches the sounds of each letter and the definition of the word.
Duck Duck Moose- More Trucks
$1.99
Fun mixed with a little bit of problem solving. My son has and is obsessed with the activities on this app. They are fairly easy to figure out, so he has been able to play by himself even when he was younger.
Itsy Bitsy Spider
$1.99
This is the classic nursery rhyme with some added fun. I just downloaded this for my 1 year old and she likes going through the motions with me and hearing the songs.
