We headed east for Spring Break to go to Dollywood! Dollywood is such a wonderful, family-friendly experience with an amusement park, themed shows, live entertainment, festivals, special events and more surrounded by the beauty of the Smoky Mountains.
Dollywood has a magical feeling about it! We loved learning more of the history on the Dollywood Express!
The kids loved riding as many rides as possible including the carousel, Blazing Fury, Demolition Derby and Lily Caroline was brave enough to ride the FireChase Express!
The best part for me was seeing these kids with permanent smiles on their face!
When we weren’t riding rides, we were enjoying the shops around the park and eating as much as possible! You have to try the Cinnamon Bread at The Grist Mill. You can also find a little bit of everything at the many eateries on property.
We were only supposed to go for one day but the kids had so much fun and begged me for a second day! I am so glad that we did!
Dollywood’s largest park expansion, Wildwood Grove, is set to open May 11th. Wildwood Grove is going to encourage the explorer in all of us. This new section will be full of new adventures! Can’t wait to go back! Stay tuned for a post on our stay at Dream More Resort.
