Easy Holiday Table- Part 3

My final tablescape design involves a pop of bright color. In recent years, I’ve definitely become more fond of cooler, modern looks and clean lines. But, deep down at heart, I am a bright color girl. This look kind of combines both of those moods, since it adds the color, but is still within the modern lines of the clear glass column vases and basic white dinner plates.

Some people are not carnation fans, but I am, personally, not among those naysayers. I actually think it’s quite a happy, festive little flower. It’s inexpensive, comes in lovely colors and when placed in a clear column vase, or in a clear ornament, can appear quite elegant, all on its lonesome.

For the place setting, just attach a couple blossoms, along with the name tag, to another colorful ornament and, if you’d like, place on top of a unique colorful napkin. I always make a habit to check the clearance section every time I go into Anthropologie, because you can almost always find some wonderfully patterned fabric napkins on sale. It’s the perfect way to build a quirky, mismatched, bright happy collection of pieces for occasions such as this.
