More than 30,000 eggs will be hidden throughout the gardens of Cheekwood for the 24rd annual Spring Art Hop. Nashville’s favorite Easter weekend tradition takes place on Saturday, March 26 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Spring Art Hop includes egg hunts throughout the day, garden games, art activities and face painting. Kids can meet real bunnies from Clover Patch Sanctuary and visit with the Easter Bunny roaming the grounds. Featured entertainment includes: Children’s Story time in the Sigourney Cheek Literary Garden (10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.); Music by the National Museum of African American Music in the Herb Garden (11 a.m. – 1 p.m.); Piano in the Museum of Art Drawing Room (10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.); and a production of Once Upon a Time… by Bright Star Theatre (12 p.m.).
Local favorites will also be on site serving a variety of food choices. The Pineapple Room Restaurant will be open 11:00 am – 2:00 pm and The Grilled Cheeserie, The Rolling Feast, Hoss’ Loaded Burgers, Bahn Mi & Roll Factory, Crepe A Diem, Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream and Itty Bitty Donuts will be at Cheekwood all day.
Pricing for Spring Art Hop is $6 for adult Cheekwood members; free for member kids (ages 3 – 17); $18 for non-member adults; $16 for non-member seniors; and $11 for non-member kids. Children 2 and under are free. Spring Art Hop is supported by Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt.
Spring Art Hop takes place during the second weekend of Cheekwood in Bloom, the annual festival highlighted by over 150,000 blooming bulbs, including 100,000 tulips, bursting through the gardens. From tree-climbing, hands-on studio time and family-friendly activities to special live music and animal guests, Cheekwood is Nashville’s front row seat for the arrival of spring.
