Visiting Gentry’s Farm in Franklin is like stepping into a magical autumn fairy tale. And this year, the scenery and pumpkins are even more beautiful! The historic farm has been in the Gentry’s family for over 165 years with one of the first cabins on the property dating back to 1800. Grab your boots (they might get a little dirty) and bring your entire family for one of the best family fall outings of the year! No need to bring that stroller because your kids will want to run through the pumpkin patch, jump on the hay bales, and enjoy so many of the wonderful activities!
Things to do
This year’s activities include the mini tractor rides …
Animal watching with chickens, goats, turkeys, and ducks!
The grain bins are back and better than ever with corn and wheat for the kids to play in!
And hay rides, of course, where you can get a tour of the farm and see mama cows with their sweet new calfs!
This was our third year to be able to measure on the How Tall This Fall chart. Pictures I’ll cherish forever!
There are also two corn mazes (one for littles!) and a special nature walk where you can take in the farm’s scenery!
Of course you can pick your pumpkins straight from the patch. First come, first serve! They grow about 20 acres of pumpkins!
Ages 2 and under are free and the cost for everyone else is $7. Pumpkins cost $3+ depending on size. Cash and checks ONLY! For more details and hours of operation you can visit their website!
