Green Door Gourmet is one of my favorite spots around Nashville! Our family loves picking strawberries, picnicking, playing on their playground, shopping at their farm market and attending events there!
The American Field to Vase dinner was held over the weekend and beauty was found at every turn! The farm-fresh flowers designed by renowned floral designer, Kelly Perry were the star of the tablescapes. Goat Cheese truffles, Crostinis and other appetizers were brought around while live music was played during the sunset. A gourmet meal was served as guests enjoyed the scenery.
Flowers at Green Door Gourmet are grown without the use of pesticides, herbicides or fertilizers. Every bloom is raised from seed to flower on the GDG farm.
Zinnias, sunflowers and dahlias are a few of the 80 flower varieties grown from seed to bloom at Green Door Gourmet.
Not only does the farm have flowers but herbs, fruits and vegetables are grown there as well.
The farm market currently has pumpkins and mums to make all your fall dreams come true! In addition, honey, jams, dairy, baked goods and other cooperatively sourced products are available.
The Field to Vase dinner included a Boutonniere bar for guests to craft their own bit of a floral arrangement to wear for the evening. I could’ve spent hours arranging these little stems.
And this flower filled beauty gave me all the heart eyes! My camera now has about a hundred photos of this vintage truck.
Green Door Gourmet hosts special events including Wellness Wednesdays, floral workshops, wine tastings and more on their farm. Check out their calendar of upcoming events. I’m always amazed with all the creative people and places that call Nashville home! There is just something inspiring around every corner!
