This Heart Water Color Craft is such a fun craft to do with your kids! I like to water color as well so I joined in and made a few extras. It’s a very inexpensive craft to make and kids will love having these hearts as decoration! The hearts can be hung in your kid’s rooms, made into garland, or even made to be a fridge ornament by popping a magnet on the back. If you need a little handmade gift for someone, these would be perfect!
Here’s what you need for your Heart Water Color Craft:
-Water Color Paper
-Water ColorsPaint Brush
-Bowl of Water
-Glue or double sided tape
-Felt Heart Cut-Outs
Step 1: Let you child water color till their heart is content. I love how every water color that my kids paint is totally different. They’re all unique! I let mine paint 2 different papers to make several hearts.
Step 2: When your kiddo is done and after it has dried, cut out the water color to fit under the felt heart and attach the painting with glue or tape. I actually used glue dots! If you haven’t discovered glue dots, you need to check them out! They’re little dots of sticky hot glue but obviously they’re not hot. We use them for lots of things!
Step 3 (optional): We attached twine to the back of our hearts and my kids hung their hearts in their rooms.
I love walking in and seeing the artwork on their walls! Give this craft a go. I bet you and your kiddo will have fun with this activity!
