I scream, you scream, we all scream for ICE CREAM!
Last week, we had so much fun hosting our Ice Cream Party at Atmalogy. We love getting to meet moms from around town and playing with your precious kids. Just in case you weren’t able to make it, we wanted to share pictures and tell you about all the fun we had. (and we hope to see you next time!)
We were so excited to find such a great indoor space to use at Atmalogy. There was just no way we could have been sitting outside the whole time! If you’ve never been to Atmalogy, it’s a really great place. They have a cafe, complete with delicious foods, coffees, and treats. They have several spaces available to sit down and read a book, study, or get some work done. One thing that makes Atmalogy different is that you can also rent out different rooms. There are several spaces available depending on the size of your gathering. The atmosphere is excellent in there and you really have a blank slate with most rooms so you can transform it into anything you want. We chose a really awesome rainbow ice cream party.
The main attraction for our party was, of course, THE ICE CREAM! We had so much fun scooping it out and watching the kids get as many toppings as possible into their bowls. We had plenty of rainbow toppings for everyone to enjoy!
Before the party, we discovered Cheeky. We totally agree with whoever there decided that paper products shouldn’t be so plain- they should be fun! Cheeky makes colorful, durable paper and plastic products. We reached out and they were able to assist with the party by providing all of our bowls, cups, and spoons! Not only were they adorable, but they are for a great cause. For every product purchased, they turn around and donate a meal to someone who needs it. You can find Cheeky products exclusively at Target. Next time you’re hosting a gathering, make sure to check out all of the great colors and patterns available.
There wasn’t a shortage of things to do once the kids were nice and sticky after eating. We had play dough set up with ice cream tools, coloring sheets, tattoos, a ball pit for the little kids, and an ice cream truck play tent that seemed to be a pretty big hit. We even had an ice cream story- Elephant and Piggie’s Should I Share My Ice Cream.
One of our favorite parts was being able to have Whimsikids come to do crafts with the kids! They made paper ice cream cones decorated with tissue paper- and lots of glitter. Whimsikids is a business that believes art is for everyone. Currently, they operate under a more “mobile” format. You can have them come to your child’s next birthday party and do arts & crafts with them, you could have them come over for the next Pinterest night, you could rent a room at Atmalogy and have them come over there. They bring all the supplies (so you don’t have to buy more than you need!), set up, and assist you or the kids as much as needed. You can also catch them at the 12 South Farmer’s Market every Tuesday!
And you know it isn’t a good party without a photobooth! Or is that just my philosophy? In either case, this was one of our favorite parts.
A BIG thanks to House on a Hill Photography for taking and providing us with all of these great images from the party!
We really hope everyone had fun! It brings us so much joy to be able to provide a safe and accommodating environment for moms and kids to be able to hang out and meet new people. As always, we welcome your comments, suggestions, hugs, and high fives. :)
