The Imagination Library was founded by Dolly Parton. This program mails free, high-quality books to children from until until they begin school, no matter their family’s income! Over a hundred million books have been sent to children around the world!
Brooke Seigle-Roche, the Imagination Library Manager, is sharing with us on The Nash Chat about Imagination Library Month. There are lots of events coming up around Middle Tennessee. The events will celebrate readers with festivals, crafts and entertainment.
Imagination Library Events
- Bound Booksellers
- Saturday, September 14th
- Enjoy a morning filled with a performance of “Groovy Joe, Ice Cream and Dinosaurs”, crafts and so much more. Children are encouraged to dress as their favorite storybook character.
Imagination Library and the Kidsville Family Festival
- Saturday, September 21st from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Centennial Park
- Fun-filled day of crafts, inflatable games, mascots, music, princesses, face painting, dancing, food trucks, Nashville Predators Fitness Zone and Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.
Imagination Library at the Main Street Festival in Gallatin
- Saturday, October 5th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Downtown Gallatin
- Your family is invited to celebrate Imagination Library of Middle Tennessee Week at the Main Street Festival in downtown Gallatin on Saturday, Oct. 5.
