We are excited to call this little cottage our new “home away from home”. We spent time on the Magnolia River last and fell in love with this live oak lined community. We found this house earlier on a visit to Fairhope for my birthday in January. We are currently furnishing it and can’t wait to welcome guests to this little piece of paradise! And a few of our neighbors in Magnolia Springs live in Nashville!
One thing I love are all the flowers and that the house is within walking distance to the community dock and river.
These three had the best time running and jumping off the dock! We saw dolphin, turtles and they even caught a few fish!
Beau and I got in lots of walks around the community!
There’s charm around every corner! The community even has a welcoming committee who stopped by and brought a basketful of goodies for us! I’ll be sharing our journey in Magnolia Springs if you’d like to follow along.
Normally, we’ve spent all of our time in Fairhope while on the Eastern Shore. However, we are so excited to explore the many areas that are close by! Of course, we had to dip our toes in the sand in Gulf Shores.
So many people suggested the Gulf State Park! It was awesome and looks like there are so many trails, bike rentals and more to explore! We will definitely be spending more time here this summer!
We stumbled upon the Fairhope Castles! These are actual homes that people live in with dragon themed doors and all! It’s free to walk through this small village of homes.
Another day we headed over to Mobile! There’s so much to do and we’ve already made our Mobile bucket list including checking out more of their murals!
In Foley, we found a free train museum! On Saturdays, they even have model trains and train rides.
Right around the block is Stacey’s Old Tyme Soda Fountain!
Established in 1929, Stacey’s was like taking a step back into a simpler time! We had sandwiches and then of course, the kids had to try their house made waffle bowls!
We may have had a few treats during spring break!
Cookie Sammies at Ellen Jay’s at The Mill
We celebrated Owen’s upcoming birthday with a special dinner at Jesse’s! I picked up a few little gifts from Fantasy Island Toys, a kid’s dream! I also picked myself up a little gift (a new dress) from Living Well Fairhope! I can’t wait to share our furniture and interior finds soon.
We can’t wait to spend more time in Magnolia Springs later this spring and summer.

Until next time….
