This summer I decided that a wardrobe overall was in need. I had a cruise coming up and a bunch of plain, boring, and worn out summer clothes. I had a small list of some key pieces that could make up some needed outfits while still being flexible for different times of the day. I truly believe these pieces are a wardrobe life saver and are great if you’re on a tight budget and can’t buy a ton.
One of my all time favorite summer looks is a fancy relaxed look. Rather than just a tank and short I prefer to have a more dressy tank top that has a little more shape to it and is also a funky color. Also a good hat and some sturdy textured sandals can go a long way. It’s so easy to add a piece of jewelry or experiment with different hairstyles and dress the outfit up or down which is why it’s one of my go-to outfits.
Pool Side Look
For the beach I have to have my one-piece, hands down. With kids who love pulling on my swim suit a one-piece is usually the only thing that can withstand their craziness. Typically a nice V-neck and a standout color can make your one-piece swimsuit standout and stylish while being mommy friendly. Also, I love having a nice cover up for when I get out and a long white button up with some sandals can easily switch to an outfit. And of course I have to have some sunglasses (I love the classic aviator) and a sturdy backpack to carry all of your goodies for your day out. I love matching my bag with my shoes because it helps bring the whole outfit together.
Date Night Look
Last but not least I want to share my must haves for a summer date night. I am head over heels for dresses in the summertime, especially ones with beautiful prints. With a few pieces of jewelry and a nice shoe it’s easy to dress up and look stunning. Also I have to rave about the Naked eye shadow pallet. It’s my favorite piece of makeup I own and is just enough pop when it comes to eye shadow.
What are some of your must haves this summer?
