Music City Kid’s Matter- Q+ A with Kelly Sutton

Emmy-winning TV Anchor and Radio Personality Kelly Sutton
has called Nashville home since 2001. You can catch her every
weekday hosting “Today in Nashville” on WSMV. Kelly has
interviewed Country Music stars like Dolly Parton, Garth Brooks,
Blake Shelton, and Carrie Underwood to name a few! When she
isn’t covering the country music world, she is probably carpooling.
She and her husband are trying to keep up with a busy 10 year old
daughter.

Favorite place to meet a friend for lunch in Nashville?
Taco Mamacita! I love the tortilla soup!!!

For what in your life are you most grateful?
I am most grateful for my family. They are my world.

If you could have lunch with one person, who would it be and
why?
I would love to have lunch with Reese Witherspoon. I admire
how she has used her platform to inspire other women to be
strong and independent. Her companies are incredible and she
is making a huge impact on the next generation of young
women who aspire to own their own businesses.

Call or Text? Which is better and why?
I text waaaaay more than I call people. I do love having long
conversations with friends when I can, but most of the time I’m
texting.

What’s your best go-to video or GIF for a good laugh?
The Shaq Shimmy :)

What are you currently reading?
The Weekend Wedding Assistant by Rachel Gladestone.
She came on our show and told us about it so I couldn’t wait to
get into it. Also, it’s set in Nashville!

I realized being vulnerable makes you stronger.

Adventure Science Center or Country Music Hall of Fame!

If you could give other moms one piece of advice, what would
it be?

My advice to other moms is: Ask for help when you need it.
We are all trying to figure this out together. Don’t be afraid to
ask other mom friends for help!
