Are you wondering if Nashville offers anything in the Summertime to keep your little one busy for a few hours during the day? The answer is “Yes it does”! We have compiled a list of places around town that offer programs for the dancer, for the adventurer, for the athlete and more! Although this is a list for the little ones (2-5 years old), there are programs at all the places listed below for older kids as well so if you have a child 6+, make sure to check these camps out too!
Nashville Summer Camps for Toddlers:
Cheekwood offers some really great weekly camps for kiddos ages 2-4 starting June 6 and going through July 29. These camps are Guardian/Child so you will be with your child the whole time. Each day at camp lasts 75 minutes. Some of the camps include art projects inspired by insects/animals, painting & clay, and art-making in unique ways.
Nashville Ballet has a wonderful little camp for your dancer! Their half day weekly camps run May 31 – July 1 and last from 9am-12pm. There is a camp for 3-4 year olds and one for 4-5 year olds. Children will be encouraged to discover movement, creativity, and musicality while building essential dance skills.
Belle Meade Plantation has a few camps running in June for the little history buff! Indian Camp will teach your child about Native American Heritage through games, crafts, art and more. This camp is for those that are 4, 5 or 6.
Oak Hill Day Camp offers a “Little Camp” for kiddos ages 3 1/2 to rising kindergarten and runs June 6 – July 29. At Oak Hill, little campers will get to run, jump, get dirty, have water play, and counselors will lead campers through various activities and games. There will be new things to try out each day.
Brentwood Academy is the perfect place for your little athlete. They offer all kinds of sports camps for all ages starting at kindergarten. If you have a soccer player or a cheerleader, these kindergarten camps are for your little one! And though not a camp, they also offer swim lessons this summer.
