It’s finally Fall! Time to wash your sweaters, dust off your boots, and head out to enjoy some fun activities with the kids.
Wander through a corn maze. Try out one of these area farms:
Enjoy some football. Let’s face it, Titans games aren’t always the easiest thing to do with kids, but your local high school would probably love some extra cheerleaders! Let the kids run around the sidelines and enjoy the peaceful sleep that night.
Check out Ghouls a Grassmere. The Nashville Zoo will host the Halloween tradition for seven nights this year. Make sure to purchase your tickets in advance.
Hike around Radnor. Get out of the house and enjoy the changing colors of the leaves.
Plant some bulbs to enjoy this Spring. If you want something beautiful to look at this Spring, you better think about it now. My favorite are tulips.
Run a race. Fall is a great time to get outdoors and run. You can find some good options here.
Jump in a pile of leaves. Grab the rake and the camera and have a blast. Plus, think of all the cute pictures you’ll get of giggly kids.
Bake an apple or pumpkin pie. I’m a big cheater and generally buy a frozen one, but if you are supermom here’s an awesome apple or pumpkin recipe.
Make a pinecone bird feeder. The kids will love it, plus you’ll get some beautiful birds to watch in the yard.
Pick a pumpkin. There are so many places to stop and get a pumpkin. Check back in a few days to see what pumpkin patches we love.
Carve a pumpkin. Or paint it, glitter it, glue things to it…
Enjoy the Fall flowers at Cheekwood Harvest. Cheekwood will host special events for the family from September 27- October 26. The full schedule is here.
Remember to be thankful. Use the whole season as a reminder to be thankful, not just Thanksgiving.
