Our first annual Nashville gift guide is finally here! Everything on our guide is either created/made locally or sold at a local small shop. Supporting the local economy is important to us here at The Nashville Mom. Obviously, we can’t get every gift at a local shop, but here’s some ideas to support your local makers and small businesses.
I “Pick” TN onesie or toddler tee ($24-28)
Milkman Tees
Not only is this design super adorable, but these tees and onesies are extremely soft. We love that you can get them packaged in a glass milk bottle- perfect for gift giving! You can read more about our love for Milkman Tees in our review. There’s also a giveaway!
Cloth Diaper Service (starts at $37/week for newborn service)
Smile, Mommy!
This may be a little out-of-the-box, but we think this is a great idea for a gift for kids (or mom!). Instead of getting them a toy they may or may not play with for more than 5 minutes, this is a great idea for a gift that mom will enjoy for many weeks. We really love this idea for newborns or babies that don’t yet play with toys.
The Kindergarten Toolkit ($54)
Kindergarten Toolkit
We love this kit for getting the kiddos ready for kindergarten. Not only is it easy to use (thanks to the guide) for mom, but we think you’ll find that the kids want to practice with it. Don’t let the “kindergarten” fool you, this is great for a range of ages. The Nashville Mom readers can get free shipping with code: FRESH
Adventures of Little Chefs ($15)
Nutrisha
This book, written by a Nashville mom and nutritionist/chef talks about two little boys’ adventures at the farmers market and in the kitchen. We love that it even includes recipes from the story in the back of the book so you can cook with your children.
Lovelane Handmade Cape & Hat/Crown (check store for pricing info)
Magpies Children’s Shoppe
Magpies, located in Belle Meade, is a great stop to make if you’re looking for some Christmas goodies this year. We especially love these handmade capes with matching hat or crown. There are so many options for boys or girls.
Seedling Kits ($8-49)
Arcade Nashville
Spark your child’s imagination with these amazing Seedling craft kits. There are kits for kites, kaleidoscopes, bow & arrows, and so much more. The best part is that everything you need is right in the box, which makes mom’s job just a bit easier.
Handcrafted purses ($25-30)
Rich Hippies
These handcrafted purses come in a variety of styles and colors and are perfect for your little fashionista. We wish they were a bit bigger so we could fit our cell phones in them and use them for ourselves.
Dream Catchers (see store for pricing info)
Jollifrogs
These dream catchers are, well, dreamy! They are locally made and customizable to suit your decor or style. We love that it can grow with your child from nursery through big kid (and maybe adult if they’re cool enough).
Zen Pig Books ($8 each)
Zen Pig
We love Zen Pig! These stories teach kids about resilient happiness, mindfulness, and so much more. These books are written by a local dad and illustration by his wife. The illustrations are beautiful! Plus, they give back for each book purchased. Also, the third edition is suppose to release soon!
Baby Slippers ($32)
Scout Baby
For the littlest ones on your list, these slippers are a must! Lined in shearling, these are comfy and cozy for those little toddler toes! Scout Baby is owned by a local mom. She carefully curates her collection, trying to only pick items that are responsibly made.
The Swurfer ($129.99)
Brilliant Sky Nashville
We are obsessed with this swing! It’s curved so you your child can surf through the air. You can sit or stand on it, so it’s great for little kids or big kids… or mom and dad.
Kids Yoga Pass ($40/month)
Blooma Yoga Nashville
If you’re looking for an idea that is more of an experience, we really think your kids will love some yoga classes! Blooma offers kids classes each week and they are tons of fun for a range of ages.
