Lisa W: Accept help. Be that meals from friends or your church, someone to fold the laundry (even if they do the towels wrong), a play date with the older child/ren. Seriously take people up in offers to help your family
Theresa P: Schedule in rest time! It was so hard with 2 under 3.
Elizabeth E: I have 3. The biggest tip from me would be:
1) to have a few people scheduled to come over and hang out with baby #1 so you can rest more and also so they can snuggle #2 while you give #1 some mommy time also.
2) have pre-made nutritious snacks for you and baby #1
3) Let help you! You just had a baby so you’re already superwoman.
memeand4maybemore:I will say freezer meals. Either make some ahead yourself or if you have an awesome mom like me she will make some up for you before she leaves. A favorite to freeze is chicken pot pie that way kids get veggies in and I don’t feel like I have to make sides.
gabrielle.inc: I made a ‘box of tricks’ for Miss 2 when I came home with new bubs. Basically it was a big clear tub with lots of new goodies like – colouring in books, pencils, puzzles, stickers, playdoh, DVDs, CDs, some cheap music instruments, books, etch-a-sketch etc. Basically put what ever you like in it…things that will occupy your little one while you do things like – feeding, burping, settling etc. I found miss 2 wanted my attention when bubs was on the boobs. Maybe it was a bit of jealousy. So when it was feeding time I would ask miss 2 to go to the special box and pick something to play with. But only one thing. It worked a treat because the things inside were things she hadn’t seen before. ☺️
raincitymama:Ask for help!!! Give yourself grace as you adjust nothing is going to be like your first or second one. Also find Time together on the couch while you breastfeed! Even if it’s watching your 6th cartoon together!
