I live in Woodbine part of town. Not familiar with it? It’s east of Berry Hill, off of Thompson Lane and Nolensville Pike. I’m so happy to report, we now have our very own coffee shop! Please give a round of applause for Red Bicycle Coffee and Crepes!
Red Bicycle Coffee and Crepes originated in North Carolina. The owners have since moved to Nashville and opened up two locations: Germantown and Woodbine. They offer organic, Chemex coffee, an array of unique specialty coffee drinks and teas, crepes (GLUTEN FREE and regular), paninis and baked goods made in house. The team over there is always super friendly, so I’m happy to pop in as much as one possibly can.
If I’m feeling fancy (and I often am), my go to is the Cuban. It’s their most popular drink made with brown sugar, cream and espresso. I’m never disappointed by a cup of joe because it’s made in small batches so it’s always fresh!
I’ve sampled quite a few crepes from sweet to savory. The guys said their most popular is the Mexi crepe made with scrambled eggs, manchego cheese, chorizo, salsa and sour cream. I have yet to try it, but it sounds delicious. I can report the sweet crepes score high on my list. Nutella Crepe? Yes, please. Bananas Foster? Yep! You just cannot go wrong there.
If you’re bringing your kiddos along, unfortunately, there’s not a whole lot of entertainment for them however, the atmosphere allows for them to run around and be wild. If you have a stroller, I’d recommend walking in the front door to avoid the steps in the back.
I cannot recommend Red Bicycle enough for it’s drinks, food and atmosphere. It’s also pretty refreshing to go into a Nashville coffee shop that is still a bit undiscovered.
