This time of year, we are all trying to spread a little extra kindness around and looking for ways to give. Service is important to our family and is something we try to involve our kids in. I wanted to share this simple project that adds up to a big difference!
The Ronald McDonald House of Nashville is a 32-bedroom house and the Ronald McDonald Family Room on the 5th Floor of the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt offers a place for parents and family members to relax, refresh and experience the comforts of home while staying close to their sick child.
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Nashville have served more than 14,400 families from all over Tennessee, Kentucky, 41 other states and 14 foreign countries.
There are many ways to support the Ronald McDonald House Charities, financial and wish list donations, volunteering and by donating pull tabs.
Pull Tab donations would be a wonderful service project for children. It gives them a visual of how many they are contributing, it doesn’t cost you anything and is an easy way to get your child thinking about service! Just by donating this tiny pull tab off a soda can, you can help raise thousands of dollars to support families who have seriously ill or injured children who are receiving medical treatment at Nashville area hospitals.
- Set up a jar at home to collect tabs
- Organize a school/church/club pull tab fundraiser
- Pull tabs can be dropped off or mailed to RMHC of Nashville 7 days a week from 9 a.m.-7 p.m.
