The steady rains have driven us indoors looking for ways to entertain the little ones. If you get tired of Go Fish, Barbies and managing screen time (No, you cannot spend all day on the iPad), pack up the crew and head to the new Sky Zone in Franklin. Located at 1113 MURFREESBORO ROAD, SUITE 254, the indoor trampoline park just opened in May with an impressive sprawl of space.
You can purchase your tickets and reserve your jump time online here. Although there are endless trampolines, foam blocks to dive in, and several games, the 60 minute time slot for a 5 year old and an 8 year old was almost too long. Tickets start at $10 for 30 minutes and go up to $22 for two hours. You’ll also have to purchase their Skysocks for $2 a pair but you get to keep them and bring them back with you on your next visit.
Sky Zone offers open jumping from 10AM to 8PM most days and a special Toddler Time from 8:30 – 10AM on Saturdays. Wednesdays feature Dodgeball Derby for ages 16 and up from 6:00-8:00 PM. Keep in mind that weekdays and holidays are their busiest times. We went on a random Wednesday morning and it was almost like having the place to ourselves. Sky Zone is closed on Mondays.
The staff at Sky Zone are extremely helpful and make concerted efforts to communicate the safety rules during the entire experience. The children are separated into age groups to help manage safety. It was a great way to spend an hour out of the rain and the boys were exhausted afterward (yay!).
Sky Zone is constantly adding special events and classes for all age groups. You can reach them at 615-721-3626 or online here.
