Hello again! I’m almost a full year into my orthodontic journey with SmileMaker Orthodontics, and making some serious progress! If you’ll remember back to my previous post about my first appliance, you’ll remember that the goal and purpose of it is the move the upper back teeth back and into alignment with my lower back teeth. They initially sat directly on top of each other, which isn’t ideal.
My progress with the appliance has been amazing! Here’s some before and after pictures for reference:
You can see in this picture how the appliance has pushed the back teeth and created space to align my bite and room to move my front teeth into their proper placement.
In this photo you can see how the back teeth now sit in their grooves appropriately rather than directly on top of each other as they did before.
Later this month, I’ll head back to Dr Jay Burton and his amazing staff at SmileMaker Orthodontics to have the majority of this appliance removed and brackets applied. Seeing progress this obvious is so encouraging and I can’t wait to keep going!
