Located less than an hour from Nashville is one of the most special places we’ve visited, The Gentle Barn. The Gentle Barn is a haven for rescued animals in Christiana, Tennessee.

Meet Henry, the friendliest pig! We were able to pet him and give his piggy sisters belly rubs!

Visitors can read more about the animals and even sponsor them.

Meet Rick Springfield, he was rescued from the Nashville Airport! We had a chance to hold him and his feathers are so soft!

Luke Skywalker wasn’t so sure about us but showed off some of his tricks by standing on one leg.

This special girl stole our hearts! Lolli was also celebrating her birthday!

This sweet girl and her parents are sure to be a smile on your face…but keep an eye out on your toes as Miss Lolli zooms across the field.

The Gentle Barn has four horses, their stories and bond was so interesting to hear! They surprised us by coming up to the fence to say hello!

We’ve never been so up close and personal with cows! The kids loved petting Mama Maybelle and her calf, Miles. Maybelle is a retired dairy cow and is enjoying her retirement by running and jumping for her morning cookies!
Our day at The Gentle Barn was one of the best days we have had in a long time! Spending time with these amazing animals was just what we needed! We cannot wait to go back and visit them again soon!
Find details on visits to The Gentle Barn here.
You can also tune in each week live on Facebook and Instagram to see the animals.
