Encouraging creativity in children is important and Watkins Community Ed strives to do just that. Watkins Community Education provides classes and workshops to educate and empower youth, teens, and adults to embrace their artistic abilities.
Over the summer break, Watkins Community Ed will be offering many different summer camps for youth (ages 5+).
Multi-art camps are offered for ages 5-7 and 8-10 throughout June. In this camp, students will be able to explore many different forms of art. Each session does different projects, so you can enroll your child in more than one session and they won’t duplicate projects.
There are also special topic camps for those 11 and older. These camps will focus on one specific topic for the entire session. Some of the topics are ceramics, photography, and comic illustration.
All of Watkins’ camps are held in state-of-the-art studios and supplies are all included.
Make sure to register before March 2 so you can get early bird pricing!
They are also offering a Spring Intersession Camp (March 18-20) for Ages 5-13. Students will enjoy many different varieties of art like drawing, printmaking, clay sculptures, painting, and so much more.
Watkins Community Education also has a scholarship program available. Make sure to apply soon.
