The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum <\/a>invites you to online family programs, starting this week!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every Wednesday at 3:30 p.m., join a museum educator on FieldTripZoom for fun, interactive workshops relating to country music history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Free with pre-registration<\/strong> on the web platform FieldTripZoom, no download needed. Guardians are required to be present with participants under thirteen years old. By signing up for this program, you are confirming that a guardian will be present with youth under thirteen. An educator will send a Field Trip Zoom invitation to you by 11:00 a.m. the morning of the program. Registration closes 24 hours before program time, and accommodations are guaranteed for museum members. <\/a>Shel Silverstein is most famous for writing and illustrating children\u2019s books, but did you know he also wrote songs that were recorded by many outlaw country musicians? Join a museum educator on FieldTripZoom to explore the exhibit Outlaws and Armadillos: Country\u2019s Roaring \u201970s<\/em> and listen to poems from Silverstein\u2019s collection A Light in the Attic<\/em>. Inspired by his whimsical writing, draw an illustration along with visual artist Britt McDermott and learn to write a Silverstein-style poem. Recommended for ages five to eleven with guardian, but all are welcome. Guardian is required to be present for children under thirteen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many songwriters keep a notebook on hand to jot down ideas. Join a museum educator on FieldTripZoom to learn about the influential songwriting duo Boudleaux and Felice Bryant\u2014responsible for penning \u201cRocky Top,\u201d \u201cBye Bye Love,\u201d and many other classics\u2014and view pages from their songwriting ledgers. Then, learn how to make your own pocket-sized journal using only one sheet of paper. What new ideas will fill your book? Recommended for ages seven and up with guardian, but all are welcome. Guardian is required to be present for children under thirteen. Presented in support of the exhibit We Could: The Songwriting Artistry of Boudleaux and Felice Bryant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
