Be TRUE, Be BOLD, Be BRAVE! <\/em><\/strong>These are such great inspirations for the coming school year! This year, we decided to do our Back to School Shopping at The Avenue in Murfreesboro<\/a>! Not only do they have fun murals but an amazing selection of shops and restaurants! The Avenue is a short trip over from Nashville and made for a fun “day trip”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even though we were technically shopping for the kids, I had to pop in one of my favorite stores, Altar’d State<\/a> to check out their tax free weekend specials! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

I found a cute new top and earrings for fall! Moms need “Back to School”<\/em> clothes too, right? Altar’d State<\/a> has a great selection of women’s clothing, accessories, books and gifts at reasonable prices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Next up was Barnes and Noble<\/a>! Our whole family could spend hours browsing the books. We picked up a few new reads to dust off our summer brains. One goal I have for the new year is to read more with the kids.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

As native South Carolinians, we were thrilled when Palmetto Moon<\/a> opened at The Avenue<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

They have everything from t-shirts, Yeti’s, masks and a huge collegiate section to get fans ready for football season (hopefully!)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

I’m already getting some ideas for my Christmas list! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Owen was so excited to check out Best Buy’s<\/a> sales! After spending time with his grandparents and loving their Google Hub<\/a>, he talked us into getting one so that he can call his out of town family. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

I’m pretty sure that my kids know more about the latest technology than I do! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After we found school clothes and new shoes, the kids let me check out a few home stores! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The Avenue has two of my go-to shops to buy home goods, Kirklands<\/a> and World Market<\/a>. We are going to be moving soon so I wanted some ideas on new furniture and home decor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All that shopping made us hungry! We ended our shopping trip with dinner at Newk’s Eatery<\/a>! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Newk’s Caprese Sandwich and side of pasta salad is my favorite!! Their homemade bread is delicious! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Owen gives Newks a thumbs up! Don’t miss Tennessee’s Tax Free Weekend on Restaurants August 7th-9th. You can find a list of The Avenue’s restaurants here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Avenue has everything you need! It’s a new favorite place for us to go shopping and dining out! It was a family-friendly Friday night of shopping, a fun place to eat and excitement for the new school year. The Avenue wasn’t crowded, had safety procedures in place<\/a> and we found special deals! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
