Picasso at the Frist<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Picasso. Figures<\/strong><\/em>, an exhibition from the incomparable collection of the Mus\u00e9e national Picasso-Paris<\/a>, offers an in-depth look at Pablo Picasso\u2019s career-long fascination with the human figure as a means of expressing a range of subjects and emotions. Featuring approximately 75 paintings, works on paper, and sculptures, Picasso. Figures<\/em> makes its sole U.S. appearance in Nashville in the Frist\u2019s Ingram Gallery from February 5 through May 2, 2021. Advance timed entry tickets for this exhibition are available. Orchids in the Mansion<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the third year, Cheekwood <\/a>is excited to present Orchids in the Mansion<\/em>, an exhibit that celebrates orchids and other tropical foliage with colorful and creative displays arranged throughout the Mansion\u2019s historic rooms. The exhibit will be open to the public beginning Saturday, Jan. 30, and will run through Sunday, Feb. 28. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There will also be a Virtual Lecture series to discuss this year\u2019s displays and at-home orchid care. The first, \u201cOrchids 101 Online Workshop<\/a>,\u201d will take place Saturday, Feb. 6 from 10 \u2013 11:30 a.m. and will cover foundational information for growing common orchids year-round. The second lecture, \u201cOrchid Repotting Online Workshop<\/a>,\u201d will take place Saturday, Feb. 13 from 10 \u2013 11:30 a.m. and will share the essential steps for repotting orchids. Winterfest<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Winterfest is happening at Gaylord Opryland<\/a> now through March 21st! Activities include: At Pinetop <\/strong>outdoor village, there\u2019s plenty of space for enjoying oversized winter light displays<\/strong>, live  performances, tubing, ice skating and lessons, ice bumper cars, <\/strong>winter warmer beverages plus an all-new, live  Fire & Ice Skating Show <\/strong>featuring champion skaters, big jumps, fast spins and awe-inspiring throws and lifts.  Jack Frost\u2019s Frigid Finds Scavenger Hunt <\/strong>where kids and adults become real-life explorers as they navigate the  resort for clues to earn a special prize.  Travel down our scenic indoor river for the Winter Riverboat Ride <\/strong>in the 4.5 acre Delta atrium  \u2219 The Wildlife Rescue Experience presented by bubly\u2122 <\/strong>guides guests throughout the resort to track down  endangered species and help ensure that they are monitored for their protection.\u202fThe free adventure  highlights\u202findigenous animals from Colorado and, with the magic of\u202faugmented reality,\u202fbrings them to life before  the participants\u2019 eyes. Private carriage rides <\/strong> The resort\u2019s famous Magnolia lawn holiday lights display will remain in place through March 21 for a wintry evening stroll \u2219 Other free activities include a movie theatre<\/strong>, Winter Animal Encounters<\/strong>, selfie spots<\/strong>, and self-guided hotel tours<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Suessville at Headquarters<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

HQ\u2019s Beercade Suessville on 2nd,\u201d<\/strong> will take place  through early March of 2021<\/strong>. This interactive pop-up will feature magical installations created by a set designer from Seussical the Musical. There will be a new menu of eccentric cocktails, in which HQ Beercade will donate 10% of select drinks sold to the Nashville Neighbors Fund to support the victims of the Christmas Day bombing of Downtown Nashville. The pop-up will be open Monday through Friday from 4:00pm to 6:00pm<\/strong> and Saturday and Sunday from 11:00am to 1:00pm<\/strong>. All ages are welcome.
