 <\/p>\n

If you decided to hang around town for Labor Day, there’s plenty of fun to be had. We’ve rounded up some ideas for your day “off”:<\/p>\n

–Franklin Classic<\/a>– If you enjoy running or even just cheering on those that do, head to Downtown\u00a0Franklin and join in. There’s a 10k, 5k, and Kids Fun Run. There will be a Kids Zone open from 7-10 with face painting, bounce houses, balloon animals, and more.<\/p>\n

-The Frist will be open regular hours and Monday is the last day for the \u00a0Watch Me Move Animation<\/a> Show. After the show, head up to the Martin ArtQuest Gallery and let the kids explore. Kids under 18 are free. This is a great option for some indoor fun.<\/p>\n

-Enjoy a hike around Radnor. See if the kids can spot the different animals around the lake.<\/p>\n

-Pack a family picnic and head to the park or your other favorite spot.<\/p>\n

-Nashville Shores is open all day. Relax in the lazy river and cool off. They even have a special running on tickets for the weekend. Check it out.<\/a><\/p>\n

-If you love the splash pad <\/a>as much as we do, you better head to Cumberland Park and enjoy it while you can. Labor Day is the last day the water will be on!<\/p>\n

-You know the kids aren’t letting you sleep in. Get up and have a family breakfast that you won’t have to clean up. Try out The Loveless Cafe\u00a0<\/a>\u00a0or Puckett’s Grocery<\/a>. Of course, if your kids get up really early like mine, you could beat the line at Pancake Pantry<\/a>.<\/p>\n

-Host a backyard campout. Or a living room campout if the rain doesn’t blow over. Be the other moms’ best friend and have the kids’ friends over for a sleepover. Roast marshmallows, cook hotdogs, lock them in a room<\/del>\u00a0\u00a0put on a fun movie and pop some popcorn.<\/p>\n

-Go shopping! If you still need some extra back-to-school gear or even just something special for yourself, there will be plenty of sales all weekend. Make your husband watch the kids and enjoy a day out with the girls.<\/p>\n

-The good ol’ bbq. Invite your friends over, fire up the grill, and have a party. If you like to wait until the last minute to plan things (like me), I made you a Pinterest board<\/a> to reference. You’re welcome. :)<\/p>\n

-Sleep in. Maybe you convinced your kids to stay the night somewhere else. Maybe you convinced your husband to get up with them. Maybe this is so out of your realm of possibility that you’re mad I even mentioned it. Sorry.<\/p>\n

-Spend the day meal prepping. Stock your freezer up with meals so the next few weeks are easier at dinner time. If you accomplish this, please share\u00a0how.<\/p>\n
