Located in the 12 South neighborhood, Sevier Park is a place for all ages to enjoy. One of the more historically beautiful parks in Nashville, Sevier has an old home (Sunnyside) sitting on the property and a creek running through the middle of it.

Sevier Park has two play grounds, swings, plenty of green space, picnic shelters, and even a brand new community center.

Each playground has slides and things to climb on. One playground is designed for younger kids and the other for older kids.

There are baby swings and big kid swings as well as the coveted “red swing”. I’m not sure why that’s the best one, but it is. :)

A great thing about Sevier Park is all the trees and open fields. You’ll see people playing football or frisbee, swinging in their hammocks, or slack lining in between the trees.

Recently, Sevier Park opened up their new community center. You can go inside to use the restroom while you’re playing. Or you can check out one of the many classes that they have to offer. There are some the kids can do with you, too. You can find more info on the classes here. There are also tennis and basketball courts by the community center for public use.

Make sure to pack a picnic lunch and either spread a blanket down or use one of the many picnic tables to enjoy a meal outdoors. You can also reserve them for your special activities.

My overall thoughts on Sevier Park:
