One of my new favorite ways to pamper myself is with a great blowout. When I first thought about going to get my hair washed, dried, and styled by a pro, I thought that was something only celebrities did. I mean, normal people can’t get our hair done by a pro unless it’s a special occasion, right? Wrong!

The Dry House was opened up in Green Hills by Ali Ryan a few years ago. Her intention was to create a comfortable and welcoming environment where anyone can come to relax and leave with excellent hair. She succeeded! Come on in and sit down with your stylist! They’ll ask you about what you want your hair to look like. The Dry House has a “menu” of styles, or they are happy to try out whatever you ask of them.

Then, you’ll go back to get your hair washed. I love getting my hair washed, anyone else? You can add in extra scalp massage, too.

Head on back to your chair, sip your champagne, and watch the magic happen.

That’s it! In case you’re wondering what this is going to run you, a single blowout is only $40. They run specials and have packages, too. It’s definitely worth it to not have to do my hair myself for a special date or even when I just need a little pick-me-up or mommy time.

How long does it last?

That really depends on your hair. Some have more oily hair and some people can go a week without washing. Personally, I get about 4 days before I have the urge to wash it out. Four days without having to deal with my hair when I’m getting ready each morning is well worth the money.

If you want to get the maximum time out of your blowout, here are some tips:
