We took a summer adventure to explore family-friendly Atlanta for a little summer getaway! We had the best time and wanted to share our experience!
ATL Accommodations

If given the choice, my family would have just moved into the Waldorf Astoria, located in Buckhead. We were greeted by the friendliest staff and the kids even got to select a surprise from their welcome toy wagon.

The kids were over the moon to find out they had their own room in an adjoining suite to ours. Each night we were treated to turn down service, which included milk and cookies, and mini-sized slippers!

These sunny bathrooms were another favorite, stocked with the most comfortable robes and deliciously-scented bath products. Owen was thrilled to be able to watch the Braves game while taking his nightly bubble bath.

Bottled Cokes and an outdoor patio is all we needed for relaxing after exploring Atlanta!

The Waldorf Atlanta has an amazing onsite restaurant where we treated Seth to a Father’s Day Brunch.

ATL Eats

Buckhead Diner was a top recommendation for dining out and it did not disappoint! This retro styled diner had something for everyone on the menu and a fun atmosphere.

We noshed on crab cakes, steak, cheeseburgers and of course had to try their famous milkshakes!

ATL Activities

Chop On! We loved cheering the Braves on to a win! It was a perfect summer night of baseball with ice cream in helmets, walking around The Battery and enjoying the Kid’s Zone with zip lines, batting cages and games.

Skyview Atlanta was one of our favorite activities! We rode to the top of the wheel in an air-conditioned gondola, enjoying all the sights of Atlanta! Owen and LC wanted to keep going around and around. Next time, I’d love to see the Skyview lit up at night!

Next up was the College Football Hall of Fame, which was a treat for our football-loving family! The Skill Zone and personalized, interactive exhibits were so much fun!

The Hall of Fame even hosts birthday parties! This is the ultimate place to visit for college football fans!

We needed an ice cold Coca-Cola after a full day! The World of Coca-Cola Museum had performances, engaging tours and taste testing with over 100 international and domestic beverages made by The Coca-Cola Company.

We enjoyed learning about the history of this iconic brand!

Our last stop was to the Atlanta Botanical Garden. These gorgeous gardens are hosting Alice’s Wonderlands now through October 27th. The giant topiary-like plant sculptures were among our favorites, along with the Rose and Children’s Gardens

We truly had the best time in Atlanta and can’t wait to go back for more explorations soon!
