The school year is underway and I’m already counting down the days until Fall Break! I thought I’d share a few ideas with you in case you were looking for some travel inspiration!
Highlands, NC: Highlands is one of our favorite towns in the mountains of North Carolina! You can find a charming downtown with unique shops and restaurants! Don’t miss Kilwins (owned by the same family that owns the Nashville + Franklin stores). You’ll hikes, waterfalls and natural beauty to explore! We haven’t been yet but Skyline Lodge looks so quaint and relaxing! I’ve heard their onsite restaurant is amazing too!
Bluffton, SC: If the coast is calling your name, add Bluffton to your list! Old Town Bluff is a walkable area with coffee shops and adorable shops like Gigi’s of Bluffton. Make sure to walk past the historic Church of the Cross and down to the May River waterfront. I recently stayed at Montage Palmetto Bluff and it was a dream! If riding bikes by the river, sitting by the fire pit and embracing a beautiful Lowcountry village are you thing, you’ll love Palmetto Bluff!
Monteagle, TN: Never met a tiny home I didn’t like! LC and I stayed at The Retreat at Deer Lick last year and loved this community! Monteagle is near one of our favorite trails, The Fiery Gizzard, Sewanee and Foster Falls.
Windy Hill Farm: This East Tennessee preserve is an outdoorsy dream! Guests can experience hunting, fishing, biking, kayaking on the Little Tennessee River, live music, onsite dining and adorable cabins with gorgeous views.
Port, St. Joe, Florida: Our kids are still talking about our Port St. Joe spring break trip at Boardwalk Bungalow! We loved this new to us area and cannot wait to go back. Windmark Beach is so relaxing and everything you need is right there! Check out Boardwalk Bungalow here.
Barnsley Resort: Of course, Barnsley is one of our favorite places year-round! We are going around the holidays this year but I think fall would be a spectacular time at Barnsley! My kids ride their rides all along the property, visit the farm animals and look forward to s’mores around the fire all day! You just can’t go wrong with Barnsley!
