Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day, it just sets the tone for the rest of the day. Nashville is in no shortage of restaurants with buttered biscuits, stacks of pancakes and tiny little donuts. Here are a few of my favorites.
Famous for their pancakes, Pancake Pantry has been a Nashville staple in Hillsboro Village since 1961. Locals and visitors alike stand in line for this hearty breakfast.
Loveless Café has been serving up scratch-made Southern meals for over 65 years. Their iconic neon welcomes hundreds of thousands of guests each year to gather around the table. You can also purchase their biscuit mix, signature jams and hams at the Loveless Store.
Ruby Sunshine brings the flavors of New Orleans to Middle Tennessee with all day brunch and specialty cocktails. Their seasonal French toast is a menu item not to be missed! Ruby Sunshine takes pride in uses fresh and local ingredients whenever possible.
You can find hand-crafted, croissant-style hundred layer donuts in flavors like chocolate ganache, maple, vanilla cream and the purist. The bakery also serves seasonal paleo flavors and other treats.
Marche is a treasured spot in East Nashville serving a European-style brunch all day! You’ll find Bongo coffee, High Garden teas , house made hot chocolate and other specialty drinks.
Biscuit Love began as an Airstream food truck and is now a Music City staple with three Middle Tennessee locations. Owned by husband and wife team, Karl and Sarah Worley, Biscuit Love serves a variety made from scratch breakfast and lunch options. Biscuit Love is committed to sourcing locally and giving back to the Nashville community. You’ll find menu items like East Nasty with buttermilk biscuits topped with fried chicken and sausage gravy!
Milk and Honey is set in the heart of The Gulch. You’ll love this spot for its toast selections, biscuits and their craft coffee! Don’t miss their Smore’s Latte!
You will love these tiny little donuts in a BIG way! You can find Tiny Little Donuts airstream in two locations in Franklin (328 5th Avenue North and 1203 Murfreesboro Road) Choose from a generous dozen or call ahead for a box of 100 for your next event!

Grab your girlfriends or hubby for a breakfast date. (It’s also a good spot to people watch-I spotted one of Music City’s biggest stars recently).
