
Holley Day to Support Metastatic Breast Cancer Awareness Day

- An evento to honor Kendra Scott’s friend, Holley Kitchen, who passed away from MBC, 20% of proceeds will benefit an Inheritance of Hope Legacy Retreat. - The Hermitage
- Explore the haunted side of history during our Hermitage Ghost Tours! After dark this fall, embark on a distinctly spooky voyage at Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage as you explore the mansion, grounds and tombs by lantern light. Along the way, guides present stories of strange encounters such as the ghosts of the Battle of New Orleans and Jackson’s infamous meeting with Tennessee’s Bell Witch. Beware eerie encounters, possibly even with President Jackson himself. Ghost Tours run through November 9th at 7 pm and 9 pm. Please arrive early as tours will start right on time and we don’t want any souls left behind.
The Southern Festival of Books

- The festival takes place at Nashville Public Library’s Main Branch, along with Anne Dallas Dudley Boulevard and War Memorial Plaza in downtown Nashville.
- The Southern Festival of Books: A Celebration of the Written Word℠ is a free, three-day Festival happening October 11-13, 2019 in Nashville, TN. Readers and writers from around the country gather to celebrate the joy of reading and lifelong learning, and to hear panels and solo sessions featuring more than 200 of the nation’s foremost writers. In addition to attending sessions, attendees peruse exhibitor booths, food trucks, and enjoy musical, theatrical, and spoken word performances. With events for children and youth plus three performance stages on the War Memorial Plaza, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
