After the year we’ve had, it’s safe to say “we’re all mad here” in this strange world down the rabbit hole. Between cancelled trips and virtual learning, we know you’ve sometimes believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast, and no judgment if you’ve even caught yourself exclaiming “off with their heads!” a time or two. This year’s virtual Picnic with the Library package is here to save the day offering your family a break from the madness an afternoon of Alice in Wonderland themed family fun. Each package will include family friendly games, a craft kit from Little Art House, delectable treats, access to a special production from Wishing Chair Productions and additional surprises! This 6th annual event will place virtually on Sunday, May 16th.
The family-focused event raises vital funds for Nashville Public Library’s award-winning early literacy initiatives that change the lives of more than 100,000 children per year across all 21 library branches and 150 childcare centers throughout Davidson Co.
This year’s theme is Alice in Wonderland and the at-home picnic package, will include Alice in Wonderland themed picnic games, crafts and snacks, as well as access to a special interactive virtual performance by Wishing Chair Productions, the Library’s resident puppet troupe
All proceeds from the packages directly support Nashville Public Library’s award-winning early literacy initiatives
We encourage families to get together with their close friends and small groups to experience picnic with the library together! Whether that’s at a local park or in the backyard, we’ve created these picnic packages to be enjoyed together.
This is a fun way to support our public library! Grab your tickets today!
