We headed to one of our favorite getaways, Barnsley Resort in Adairsville, Georgia for Easter weekend.
We love that Barnsley has so much to do outdoors including hiking trails, a lake for fishing or canoeing, horseback riding, a playground, golf and lots more!
As soon as we arrived at Barnsley, we felt that we were transported into a storybook village! We stayed in one of the one bedroom cottages which had plenty of space for our family of four. The Inn is super quaint and has 55 rooms and other cottages with more bedrooms are available as well. (Use code NMOM when booking to receive a complimentary tote.)
Barnsley is full of history including the ruins. We enjoyed a fish fry among the ruins during our first night.
The fish fry was a delicious feast in the dreamiest setting with live music and outdoor games for the children.
And we may have tried a few of these desserts.
Every night, we looked forward to the fire pits and complimentary s’mores kits.
It just doesn’t get better than snuggling around a fire pit with toasted marshmallows, melted chocolate and your loved ones.
Barnsley had so many family friendly Easter events throughout the weekend like brunch with the Easter Bunny!
The brunch included bunny shaped pancakes and fun activities for the kids.
This retreat is the perfect place to unplug! My kids didn’t ask for technology once during the trip! They wanted to be out riding bikes and playing the many outdoor games like checkers, bocce ball and corn hole.
LC made new friends and we ventured over to the farm to visit the donkeys, llama, horse and goats.
All was great until Beau decided he wanted to play with another pup and pulled out of his leash. He ran as fast as he could into the pond getting himself AND ME muddy!
After giving this pooch a bath, I took my book back outside and enjoy sitting among the blooms.
Meanwhile the boys hit the golf course! Barnsley truly has something for everyone to enjoy!
Owen was in heaven!
One of the highlights of the weekend was the Birds of Prey educational event. How adorable
I mean…look at this adorable face? This is “Owl Capone”! We learned so much about owls and precautions we can take to keep them safe.
Easter morning began with a sunrise service followed by an epic egg hunt.
These two had a game plan and were thrilled with all the treat-filled eggs they found!
The Georgian Hall lawn was beautifully decorated with pastel colored eggs.
After working up an appetite at the egg hunt, we headed to the Easter Brunch.
We truly had the best weekend and were so sad to go home. The kids asked if we could just live at Barnsley! It’s such a special place that is perfect for families! If you decide to book a trip, use code NMOM (through Sept. 2, 2021) for a complimentary signature Barnsley tote.
