It’s December! I can’t believe it. But, with December comes so many wonderful holiday activities.
Lipscomb University hosts this annual event on December 2 starting at 4:00pm. There will be fun activities like free photos with Santa and you can grab some food in the Campus Center. Amy Grant will host a concert starting at 5:30pm. See the website for the full lineup. This event is FREE.
The shops and restaurants in Hillsboro Village will host a fun night on December 4 with giveaways, concerts, and free pictures with Santa (with toy donation). Each shop will have different specials and events going on. Make sure to check out their Facebook page for all the details. This event is FREE, but many shops are requesting donations.
Join the Mayor at Public Square Park for the annual tree lighting on December 5 starting at 6:30pm with fireworks and a parade to follow. Make sure to get there early and bring warm blankets with you. Also, have kids download their letters to Santa for the Elves to collect!
Enjoy a festive ride in a horse-drawn carriage around the streets of the Hillsboro-West End neighborhood. Most of the houses will be decorated for Christmas. Make sure to reserve your tickets now. Rides take about 30 minutes. Stay after and enjoy some hot cider and fellowship. This will take place December 6 & 7 from 4:30- 8:00pm.
Live reindeer each day and special activities on the weekend like cookie decorating and crafts! (free with admission)
This is a great drive through Christmas light show set to music. Open nightly from 5:00- 10:00pm. ($25 per vehicle)
Amazing lights, ICE, a kids’ train, and more. Opryland has so much to offer at this time of year. (prices vary, but you can see many of the lights for free)
Located on Old Charlotte Pike in Franklin, this light show runs from 4:30- 10:00pm daily. (free, donations accepted)
Enjoy this light show along Sunnyside Drive in Brentwood. Trying to find times still. (free)
