When my kids get off the bus from school, they want snacks and need to get energy out! They loved pumpkin bowling, especially since they got a few treats! Here’s the scoop so you can make your own set!
Materials Needed:
- 10 Toilet paper rolls {special offer on the kind we used below}
- Black construction paper
- Candy
- Glue, tape or hot glue gun
- Small pumpkin
Instructions:
- Cut two eyes and a mouth out of black construction paper for each toilet paper roll.
- Tape or glue each set of eyes and mouth on the toilet paper rolls
- Line the toilet paper rolls like bowling pins
- Drop a small piece of candy in each roll
- Have children roll the pumpkin towards the rolls
- Children can keep the candy they knock out from the “pins”
We used Elemental Recycled Products, a brand created by two Nashville locals, to create our ghost pins. Elemental’s toilet paper is a premium, super soft and made from recycled materials making a more sustainable environment. I love it because it is subscription based and it shows up on your doorstep. This is especially important when recently my children thought it was a good idea to toilet paper roll the entire downstairs. This eco-friendly toilet tissue is made in the U.S. and includes no added inks, dyes or scents. Not only is Elemental making a difference with their environmentally friendly product but they are also committed to giving back. Elemental has developed a curriculum for teachers that is available for free on their website. 50% of their profits are donated to educate children on the benefits of recycling and land preservation. We have a special deal for Nashville Mom readers, use code thenashvillemom2018 for $7 off any order. Offer expires on November 16, 2018. As a mom, I value the importance of selecting products that are both good for our world and especially ones that are community focused!
Happy Bowling!
