The Avenue Murfreesboro

Be TRUE, Be BOLD, Be BRAVE! These are such great inspirations for the coming school year! This year, we decided to do our Back to School Shopping at The Avenue in Murfreesboro! Not only do they have fun murals but an amazing selection of shops and restaurants! The Avenue is a short trip over from Nashville and made for a fun “day trip”.

Even though we were technically shopping for the kids, I had to pop in one of my favorite stores, Altar’d State to check out their tax free weekend specials!

I found a cute new top and earrings for fall! Moms need “Back to School” clothes too, right? Altar’d State has a great selection of women’s clothing, accessories, books and gifts at reasonable prices.

Next up was Barnes and Noble! Our whole family could spend hours browsing the books. We picked up a few new reads to dust off our summer brains. One goal I have for the new year is to read more with the kids.

As native South Carolinians, we were thrilled when Palmetto Moon opened at The Avenue.

They have everything from t-shirts, Yeti’s, masks and a huge collegiate section to get fans ready for football season (hopefully!)

I’m already getting some ideas for my Christmas list!

Owen was so excited to check out Best Buy’s sales! After spending time with his grandparents and loving their Google Hub, he talked us into getting one so that he can call his out of town family.

I’m pretty sure that my kids know more about the latest technology than I do!

After we found school clothes and new shoes, the kids let me check out a few home stores!

The Avenue has two of my go-to shops to buy home goods, Kirklands and World Market. We are going to be moving soon so I wanted some ideas on new furniture and home decor.

All that shopping made us hungry! We ended our shopping trip with dinner at Newk’s Eatery!

Newk’s Caprese Sandwich and side of pasta salad is my favorite!! Their homemade bread is delicious!

The Avenue has everything you need! It’s a new favorite place for us to go shopping and dining out! It was a family-friendly Friday night of shopping, a fun place to eat and excitement for the new school year. The Avenue wasn’t crowded, had safety procedures in place and we found special deals!
