If you’re looking for a fun time this Saturday, I highly recommend Sevier Park Fest. There’s special events for the kids, a bike race, a beer garden, vendors, music, and so many other things.
What exactly is there to do? Well, from 10am to noon there will be a Las Paletas (our favorite!) kids’ area. I’m assuming they will be swimming around in melted popsicles… just kidding. At noon the Kids’ Music Parade kicks off at Sunnyside Mansion (big yellow building). Make sure to bring an “instrument”.
There is plenty going on for mom and dad all day, too. Check out the full schedule here.
Possibly the thing I’m most excited about is trying out HipHues where you can make your own t-shirt or tote bag. I think it’s suppose to be fun for the kids, but I totally plan to do it for myself. :)
Enjoy lunch (and dinner) at one of 12South’s restaurants. Check out the different bands on the two stages. Watch the Katy K fashion show. For sure, don’t miss the beard and mustache contest!
If I had one tip it would be to NOT DRIVE. There’s like 4 spots at Sevier and they will go quick. Push the kids in the stroller, ride the bus, or bike. There’s even a bike valet, which makes me wish I owned a bike to valet.
