Spending time at Gaylord Opryland during the holidays is one of our favorite traditions! The magic, the family-friendly festivities and twinkling lights are just hard to beat! This year was a little unusual as we checked in during a tornado evacuation. While it was a bit stressful, we are grateful for how the staff went above and beyond in guests’ safety and comfort during this time.
After being evacuated into the basement tunnels of Opryland and when we got the “all clear”, we were able to take a deep breath and enjoy the holiday splendor around every corner!
If you’re planning to visit during the holidays, here are a few things not to miss: ICE! Featuring The Polar Express is one of the coolest {literally} experiences!! I am in such awe of the artists who design and create these amazing ice sculptures!
Pine Top Cove has ice skating, bumper cars, sledding, warm drinks, Merry + Bright Skating Spectacular, Snowball Build and lots of holiday cheer! You can also catch Jolly Old St. Nick, go on scavenger hunts, decorate gingerbread houses and cruise through the beautifully decorated atrium in a delta river boat! And course, I love the water show!!
This experience reminded me that {just like in life} trips don’t always go as planned but it’s how you make the most of it!! I’m thankful we were safe + feel terribly for those in our area who were not.
The lights and magic of Opryland with my little girl are core memories that I’ll always treasure.
