The first time we went to the South Eastern Wildlife Expo, I was newly engaged and had my first puppy, Sadie. We took her to see the Dock Dogs competition. Fast forward around 19 years and we were back for this outdoor extravangza with a tween and a teen!
“SEWE is a celebration of the great outdoors through fine art, live entertainment and special events. It’s where artists, craftsmen, collectors and sporting enthusiasts come together to enjoy the outdoor lifestyle and connect through a shared passion for wildlife.” And the best part….there are dogs everywhere!! The Dock Dogs competition is still my favorite…I could’ve watched the dogs jump into the water all day!
Our fearless girl loved bungee jumping and used all of her money going twice! She’s much cooler than I’ll ever be!
She also adopted a dolphin with the Lowcountry Marine Mammal Network! LC’s heart for animals is huge!
We explored the exhibits, vendors, enjoyed the Jeff Corwin live animal show and decided this needs to be an annual tradition!
To top off the weekend, Seth and I enjoyed a date night to the Lowcountry Social Oyster Roast! Bluegrass music, oyster shucking, twinkling lights and a barbeque dinner was the perfect way to end SEWE!
Mark your calendars for February 14-16 for SEWE ‘25!
